The Winery

The winery was founded in 1950 by Italian immigrants sons. Whith great effort, they got involved in the wine industry as primary producers. With the visión of future integration in the value chain, the winery was built in Cruz de Piedra, Maipú, Mendoza. In 2002 the third generation took over and started a new stage, annexing modern technology. Nowadays, the winery is still working with the same passion and dedication of its founders, honoring the making legacy and preserving it for future generations.

Vineyards

Vineyards cover 40 ha. located mainly in Maipú, Mendoza. This is one of the prime regions in Argentina, located at around 2800 ft. The soil is of silt loam alluvial origin and the climate is continental, with low annual rainfall. Some blocks are very old, with an average of 50 years and respecting the traditional “pergola” system. The company also has agreements with third growers within Mendoza and also with a producer from Salta, where we source the Torrontés. The main planted varieties are Malbec, Bonarda and Cabernet Sauvignon. The area presents intense sunlight, cool night-time temperatures allowing fully ripening of fruit (natural sugar) and better sugar-acidity balance.
