Average Vine Age: 40 years
Winemaking: Direct press of grapes, fermentation in oak with native yeasts
Aging: 6 months in oak
Grapes: Grenache Blanc / Terret Gris / Grenache Gris
Tasting Notes: One sniff of the 2019 Taillandier Blanc transports you to the vineyard soil; it smells of wet clay and amphora. Incredible nose. The palate is different than the nose; it is light weight with lively acidity. It is open and wide with a touch of waxiness. This wine is drinking great now but will blossom 2-4 years from now.
