In the days when the decision to invest in the Marche region needed to be made, a dog was roaming around the office, wagging her tail under the table, invoking a playful spirit to the group. Her name was Diana, and it was so that the project was named Project Diana. The Lacrima of Filodivino is dedicated to her, symbolizing the results of those crucial days and the free spirits we had become in the process.
What makes Diana so different from other Lacrima wines is the minerality from the calcareous soil and salinity from the near by Adriatic Sea. Combined with the beautiful fragrance and tannic structure, our Diana stands out from other Lacrimas.
Tasting: Intense red with shades of purple, a fragrance of violets, dog roses accompanied with currant, blueberry and blackberry: these are the aromas characterizing Diana. In the mouth, the flavor is all enveloping, softened by scents of fruits of the forest, wild strawberries and bramble. A good structure with soft and refined tannins.
Pairing: Diana gains value when accompanied with fresh cheeses, cured meat, pasta with tomatoes and light second courses such as white meats or grilled fish. You will be amazed when it is combined with the traditional soups of the region.
The merit of Diana resides in the enduring flavors of this great, young wine.
