Black is a joyful summer and fall everyday wine! It is fresh and fun, young and lively.

Lying just 37 miles west of Barcelona, MontRubí is at home in the wine region of Penedès, steeped in hundreds of years of tradition.

The philosophy of the winery is to support traditional, sustainable viticulture that is respectful of the environment, seeking balance between its grape strains and the environment, and at the same time incorporate new technology.

Type: Red.

Grape:  100% Garnachathe Mediterranean grape variety more planted in the world. In Spain Grenache vineyards are mainly located in Zaragoza, Toledo, Navarra, La Rioja, Madrid and Tarragona. Grenache bunches are medium and compact, dark blue and violet color resulting in balanced wines, moderate acidity, and high alcohol content.

Color: Intense purple hue that hints at the delicious fruit to come.

Aroma: The boisterous nose is full of wild berry and Murcian plum accented by a floral note of violets.

Palate: The wine is silky smooth on the palate, but with a fresh definition that leaves you wanting more. The lingering finish of blackberries continues from one sip to the next.

Pairing: Beef, pasta, lamb, game (deer, venison), poultry.

Temperature: Drink at 54°F-57°F.

Production: 70% pellicular maceration and 30% carbonic maceration. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Maturation on fine lees contact for 3 weeks.

Alcohol: 14%.
